Dear AVR Customers,
AVR is pleased to announce an important new feature--one
which we've been building for several months and you have asked for in Online
Users Group meetings. This feature applies to all AVR customers who utilize EFT
(ACH) processing with our partner processor, TTech.
The AVR Cloud Service Oriented Data Access system, dubbed
"SODA," now actively and automatically monitors all TTech returned
transactions, as well as rejected transactions, 24x7x365. Upon detecting new
transactions from any of your merchants, the system will build a report and
email a notification to you.
This new email notification will begin on TUESDAY,
FEBRUARY 19. You will only receive the email when the system detects new
transactions for your merchant(s).
This emailed notification will contain a summary of the
newly-detected transaction returns/rejects, summarizing the FAILED transactions
as well as the "NOC" (Notification of Change) transactions.
REMEMBER: NOC transactions represent transactions that
DID succeed. The funds WERE transferred. But, with NOC's you are being notified
by the bank that fields in your system (usually the routing number or the bank
account number) are in need of an update. Be sure that you do NOT treat NOC
transactions as if they are failed payments.
We use a red highlight to emphasize the transactions that
FAILED--funds were not transferred, you have not received the money, and the
bill payer should be contacted, UB payment should be un-posted, etc., according
to your policies.
On the summary email, you will have two links:
"view" and "download."
By clicking "view," you will be taken to a
web-based full detail report that shows the relevant details of each
transaction, including the uVision account number. And, again, the FAILED
transactions will be highlighted in red, whereas the NOC transactions will be
plain.
By clicking "download," you will be prompted
(in a web browser) to download an XML file, which you can view in Microsoft
Excel as a spreadsheet. To do so:
1) Choose a download location as prompted (such as your
computer's desktop).
2) Click "save" to save the file.
3) Open Microsoft Excel (2010 or later).
4) In Excel, select File -> Open or press ctrl-O.
5) Locate the XML file on your desktop.
6) Click "open."
NOTE: Excel may prompt you for whether you wish to open
the file "as an XML table." If so, just answer "yes" or
"OK" (just accept the defaulted options).
The transactions should now be viewable in Excel, where
you can manipulate them as you please.
You can also find a "download" link on the view
report as well, in the upper right-hand corner of the report in your web
browser.
This important new feature and automated service should
greatly benefit your EFT (ACH and eCheck) processing, giving you timely and
detailed information about payments that have been returned or rejected (or NOC
notified), without the need to manually research them at TTech. Please let us
know of any questions or feedback!
Sincerely,
AVR
