AVR's Network Service Provider

Dear Customer,

One of AVR's network service providers (Comcast) is having trouble today. Due to the redundancy built into the AVR Online platform, we are largely unaffected by this. However, particular components may be affected intermittently. For example, earlier this morning the automated retrieval of pack files was delayed. Most importantly, the ability of your customers to view account information and make payments Online continues uninterrupted thanks to our redundant multi-provider platform.
Please let us know of any questions.

Sincerely,
AVR

Intermittent credit card errors nation-wide

Dear AVR Customer,

AVR was observing intermittent credit card errors upstream from us this morning from approximately 6:50 a.m. to 8:18 a.m. This is NOT an AVR problem directly, and based on its characteristics we believe we have identified how far "upstream" the issue is.

Many card authorizations were working fine the whole time, but we also saw a large increase in the types of errors that indicate that either Global Payments (a major card processor) or an actual, major card-issuing bank, was having trouble.

Our upstream direct processor is also investigating and has informed us that Global Payments is indeed having some intermittent problems but they do appear to be fixed as of 8:18 a.m. We are monitoring that.

Again, since this is not a direct AVR-related problem we are monitoring and are told that the processing networks are handling it rapidly.

As of 8:18 a.m. the intermittent errors have ceased.

Please let us know of any questions.

Sincerely,
AVR
